RAK Properties and IHG launch Staybridge Suites in Ras Al Khaimah, expanding accommodation options with a focus on extended-stay experiences.

RAK Properties, the leading property developer in Ras Al Khaimah, has expanded its collaboration with IHG Hotels & Resorts.  They are introducing 'Staybridge Suites Mina Al Arab' on Hayat Island.

NEW ACCOMMODATION OPTIONS

Staybridge Suites Mina Al Arab has 156 keys in a 14-story tower. It offers studios, and one, and two-bedroom apartments with modern design and spacious layouts. The tower also has a fully equipped fitness centre and breakfast and restaurant areas. It provides an island-style living experience with authentic Arabic hospitality. Guests have direct beach access and can enjoy amenities at the nearby InterContinental Ras Al Khaimah Resort and Spa.

SUCCESSFUL PARTNERSHIP

IHG Hotels & Resorts and RAK Properties partnered for the InterContinental Ras Al Khaimah, which opened in 2022. It's known for luxury, great dining, and spa experiences, showcasing excellence in hospitality.

CEO'S PERSPECTIVE

Sameh Muhtadi, CEO of RAK Properties, is happy about partnering with IHG. He sees a growing trend in long-serviced stays in the emirate. The Staybridge Suites concept will boost RAK Properties' portfolio on Hayat Island and add to the hospitality options on Mina Al Arab. Mr Muhtadi highlights how the development will add "considerable additional appeal" to Mina Al Arab.

RAS AL KHAIMAH'S APPEAL

InterNations ranks Ras Al Khaimah as the fourth-best city for expatriates worldwide. It provides a high quality of life and job opportunities. With the rise of hybrid work after COVID-19, there's a growing demand for longer hotel stays. This trend is making cost-effective extended-stay hotels more popular.

EXTENDED-STAY HOTEL GROWTH

Haitham Mattar, the Managing Director of IHG Hotels & Resorts for India, the Middle East, and Africa, highlighted Ras Al Khaimah's potential as a place for longer stays. This is an important consideration considering the rise of long-stay guests in the UAE’s hospitality industry. IHG's introduction of Staybridge Suites Mina Al Arab shows their dedication to providing great guest experiences that are geared towards this. This aligns with RAK Tourism's goal of making the Emirate the fastest-growing tourist destination in the region.

MASTER PLAN FOR HAYAT ISLAND

The Staybridge Suites is a part of RAK Properties' plan for Hayat Island. It includes stay options, shopping, dining, and entertainment. This supports RAK Vision 2030, making Mina Al Arab a people-centric lifestyle destination for residents and visitors.

CONTINUED COLLABORATION

IHG Hotels & Resorts and RAK Properties have joined forces for the second time with the opening of Staybridge Suites Mina Al Arab. The first collaboration was the successful launch of Intercontinental Ras Al Khaimah Resort and Spa in 2022.

EXTENDED-STAY HOTEL EXPERIENCE

Staybridge Suites, IHG's extended-stay hotel brand, started in 1998. It's now the go-to choice for long stays, providing comfort for both business and leisure travellers. The brand has nine hotels with 1,648 rooms in the Middle East, and four more with 558 rooms are in progress.

IHG Hotels & Resorts and RAK Properties collaborations are adding vibrancy to Ras Al Khaimah's hospitality scene. They continue offering diverse options for residents and visitors in the UAE.
