Designworks partners with Magnom Properties to enhance Forbes International Tower in Cairo, focusing on sustainability and user experience; tower to be finished in 2027

Magnom Properties, a subsidiary of Saudi Arabia's Rawabi Holding, and BMW Group's innovation studio, Designworks, are joining forces to enhance the exterior and charging experience of the innovative Forbes International Tower. BMW Group announced this on its website.

The project is a net-negative carbon commercial tower in Cairo, Egypt. An agreement signed at BMW Welt in Munich, Germany formalised the partnership.

A UNIQUE FUSION OF ARCHITECTURE AND ENVIRONMENT

Designed by architects Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill, the tower will reach a height of 230 metres (755 feet). It's designed to mix modern architecture with nature. Designworks will make this happen by adding reflection, lighting, and digital elements to the design. They want the building to connect well with the environment and the people who use it.

ENHANCE USER EXPERIENCE ACROSS ALL TOUCHPOINTS

Designworks will not only design the façade but also make the user experience smooth throughout the project. Creating a continuous user journey across all physical and digital touchpoints of the EV charging park is a core aspect here. They'll use BMW Group's user-focused design process for this.

BMW Group highlighted how Maged Marie, CEO of Magnom Properties, is dedicated to giving visitors an amazing experience. He plans to use new techology to give a fresh view of the building, inside and out.

A SUSTAINABLE MILESTONE IN CAIRO'S LANDSCAPE

The 55-story Forbes International Tower will stand at the heart of Cairo's new financial district. It's a partnership with Forbes and focuses on sustainable development across over 100,000 square meters (328,000 square feet) of space. The main goal is to reduce its carbon footprint and earn top ecological construction certifications.

DRIVING SUSTAINABILITY BEYOND AUTOMOBILES

Holger Hampf, the head of Designworks, says BMW Group cares about sustainability, not only in cars. Designworks, a BMW subsidiary, is proud to help design Forbes International Tower. They believe high-quality design can inspire changes in customer attitudes and behaviors, encouraging more responsible actions.

COMPLETION ANTICIPATED IN 2027

The Forbes International Tower in Egypt is due for completion in 2027. Plans are also underway for similar commercial towers in the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia.

A GLIMPSE INTO THE FUTURE

Overlooking the 20,000-square-meter Forbes Park in Cairo, Egypt, this project is unique. This partnership not only promises an architectural masterpiece but also a testament to sustainable, future-forward design.
