The Higher Committee for Development & Citizens Affairs met in Dubai under the leadership of Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who approved a new plan for constructing model residential neighbourhoods for residents. The plan's first phase, which is located in the residential communities of Al Mizhar 1, Al Khawaneej 2, and Al Barsha 2, has a total area of 177,712,000 square feet.
Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed expressed the significance of offering the best possible environment, facilities, and services to the residents of Dubai. This follows the guidelines of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
PLANS OF THE DUBAI GOVERNMENT TO FOSTER A STRONG COMMUNITY FEEL
According to Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, the Dubai government is continually working to improve the standard of living for its residents. However, as part of its comprehensive human-centred urban development strategy, which strives to create sustainable future cities and regions, it also seeks to foster community relationships.
His Highness gave the teams of the Committee instructions to create strategies and initiatives. These are to assist neighbourhood economic development activities that would empower citizens to start their projects.
BREAKDOWN OF THE MODEL RESIDENTIAL NEIGHBOURHOODS
Al Mizhar 1, Al Khawaneej 2, and Al Barsha 2 residential development plans and designs were given the Crown Prince's approval. Each new development will have its distinct personality and identity. The native Ghaf tree was utilised as inspiration for the Al Mizhar 1 development's architecture. Al Khawaneej 2's design was influenced by water, whereas Al Barsha 2's was inspired by sand dunes. Sports and leisure facilities will also be located in the gardens and squares of the residential neighbourhoods.
The three model residential neighbourhoods will be spread across just under 178 million square feet. Al Barsha 2 will cover an area of 57.048 million square feet, Al Mizhar 1 an area of 72.871 million square feet, and Al Khawaneej 2 an area of 47.791 million square feet. Through restaurants, open markets, stores, halls, and sports facilities, the model neighbourhoods provide residents with a range of investment and business options.
