Article-New partnership brings real estate crypto transactions to Bahrain

Bahrain Bay and Bahrain World Trade Center
The partnership between CoinMena and Carlton offers an opportunity to lure more property investors to Bahrain via introducing crypto transactions.

Carlton Real Estate has become Bahrain’s first real estate brokerage to accept crypto asset transactions for property purchases and other real estate services in Bahrain. This is a result of Carlton coming to a partnership agreement with CoinMena, a Bahraini provider of crypto asset services.

CoinMena, a category 3 business that is subject to Central Bank of Bahrain regulation and licensing, serves the entire MENA region will its crypto services.

On the other hand, Carlton, a real estate firm with headquarters in Bahrain, and a Rera-Bahrain license holder provides a variety of real estate services to both individual and corporate clients across the Kingdom.

WHAT THE PARTNERSHIP OFFERS

Retail and institutional investors can invest in digital assets using the trading platform. The platform also allows investors to transfer money quickly and easily by directly integrating their bank accounts with their CoinMena wallets.

So, this diversification in real estate payment methods is a positive introduction to Bahrain’s real estate market. It will help Bahraini real estate to keep up to date with the most innovative technologies available in terms of administration, financing, and brokerage services. Therefore it will enhance the accessibility and attractiveness of real estate in Bahrain by making it more accessible through appealing to a broader range of people.

PROSPECTS OF THE PARTNERSHIP

CoinMena’s founders, Talal Tabbaa and Dina Sam'an expressed their happiness at teaming up with one of Bahrain's top real estate brokerage firms to enable cryptocurrency transactions.

The duo anticipates an enormous opportunity for the use of cryptocurrencies to buy real-world assets as its usage keeps expanding in the MENA region. Importantly, they emphasise that CoinMena’s partnership with Carlton conveys to the market that crypto is developing and being widely accepted as a legitimate form of exchange.

Since implementing cryptocurrency regulations, Bahrain has been aggressively experimenting with blockchain and crypto. So, this partnership is well suited to the ambitions of Bahrain as a country.

COINMENA’S STRONG PARTNERSHIP STRATEGY

CoinMena is also making consistent moves to build institutional partnerships within the MENA region. Most recently, the Bahrain-based startup partnered with Visa to enable a variety of premium services. These services include the CoinMena Visa Card, a payment card that can be used by millions of retailers throughout the world.
