ANANTARA MINA AL ARAB, RAS AL KHAIMAH

Opening: Late 2022

A first of its kind in the UAE, the Anantara Mina Al Arab is an eco-resort featuring overwater villas, 174 rooms, a private beach and a mangrove-filled eco-reserve.

Rivalling the likes of the Maldives and the Seychelles, the overwater villas will be equipped with private plunge pools and endless sea views. The resort will also feature an over-water restaurant and Anantara spa.

WALDORF ASTORIA, KUWAIT 

Expected opening: June 2022

This new branch of the Hilton’s high-end brand will be situated at the largest shopping and leisure destination in Kuwait, The Avenues, offering guests access to the Avenues Mall’s 1,100 shops and 28-screen cinema.

Along with its 200 rooms and suites, the property includes a 13,500 square-foot spa, a New York inspired dining lounge and panoramic views of the city.

ATLANTIS THE ROYAL RESORT & RESIDENCES, DUBAI

Expected opening: Q4, 2022

Designed by IBI Group and KPF, Atlantis Royal situated on The Palm Jumeirah, Dubai, features a series of cascading “sky-courts” that are fully exposed to the sea via ceiling to floor windows, terraces, and infinity-edge pools.

The AED 5.15 billion structure will consist of 795 guest rooms and 102 suites, 44 of which include private infinity-edge pools, covering an area of around 63 hectares and a height of 43 storeys. Guests can dine in 18 restaurants and bars hosted by celebrity chefs such as Heston Blumenthal and José Andrés, and relax in more than 90 swimming pools, including an infinity pool situated at almost 100m above The Palm.

ROSEWOOD DOHA, QATAR

Opening: 2022

Located on the waterfront of Lusail City, Doha, the Rosewood will consist of two impressive skyscrapers, designed to replicate the coral reefs in the surrounding seas.

The Rosewood Doha and Rosewood Residences Doha will offer 173 serviced apartments for medium t0 long-term rental, 300 residences for purchase, as well as an ultra-luxury hotel with 185 guestrooms and suites. Amongst the property’s offerings are a 1,500-square-metre ballroom for hosting events, eight dining outlets and a wellbeing and fitness concept, Asaya Rosewood.

NOBU HOTEL RIYADH, SAUDI ARABIA

Opening: Early 2022

Announced a decade ago, this 23-story, glass-panelled skyscraper is set to be Saudi Arabia’s first five-star luxury boutique hotel, situated in downtown Riyadh. The Nobu Hotel will consist of 119 rooms and suites, an executive lounge, a spa and the Kingdom’s first Nobu restaurant.

The hotel’s design is a blend of Japanese-inspired heritage and arabesque architecture that includes printed layered glass and high reflective facades.

JUMEIRAH MUSCAT BAY, OMAN

Opening: Early 2022

Situated in the Bandar Jissah cove, Jumeirah Muscat Bay features an ergonomic, multi-terrain design set between the Al Hajar mountains and Arabian Sea. Guests can enjoy a luxury Talise spa or explore Muscat’s hiking routes.  

Each of the property’s 195 rooms and suites offers a sea view and contemporary interior design, while the rooftop restaurant and lounge provide views over the Oman Gulf and Al Hajar Mountains.
