US-based luxury resort developer and operator, Wynn Resorts, has revealed its latest UAE real estate project - the Wynn Al Marjan Island. The integrated resort will stand in the northern emirate of Ras Al Khaimah. This resort will also be the company's first-ever beachfront resort.
The design of the resort takes inspiration from the tranquil seascape of Al Marjan Island, a group of four islands. This design vision is set to offer visitors a serene and stylish setting. The project is being developed with local partners Marjan and RAK Hospitality Holding.
Wynn Al Marjan Island will welcome visitors to a premium luxury experience. It will overlook the crystal-clear waters of the Arabian Gulf, rising more than 1,000 ft above sea level. The resort will offer exceptional entertainment and gaming amenities, and approximately 1,500 lavishly styled rooms, suites, and villas.
DESIGN INSPIRATION AND AMENITIES
According to Wynn, the resort's design takes inspiration from the natural landscape surrounding the resort and the leading design aesthetic of Wynn Resorts. The same geometric configuration of the curved shape of the beach on the island is echoed through the podium structure. This will create majestic views of the beach, sea, and the horizon.
The resort's beach-facing restaurants will offer abundant dining options. So, every diner will enjoy sweeping views of the sea. Visitors will also enjoy a wide array of entertainment options. These include a gaming area, 24 dining and lounge experiences, innovative spa and wellness experiences, a high-end shopping esplanade, a state-of-the-art events centre, a theatre hosting a unique production show, and other amenities.
The resort's design suits both long visits and day trips from neighbouring emirates. State-of-the-art laser and light shows will also be on display at night, adding to the immersive experiences offered.
ECONOMIC IMPACT
The estimated project cost is $3.9 billion and will help speed up the emirate's rise as a major global tourist destination. The significant value will also flow into the emirate's economy through tourism and job creation. The project will also pave the way for the accelerated growth of allied business sectors. Foundation construction work began earlier this year.
CEO Craig Billings said: "We have spent the past year meticulously programming and concepting Wynn Al Marjan Island, carefully considering its unique location. I am incredibly proud of our design and development team’s ability to impart our legacy of rich, thoughtful design into a sun-soaked beachside resort that will delight customers, new and old. We look forward to opening Wynn Al Marjan Island in early 2027."
