Jumeirah group launches mobile check-in application in the UAE

Article-Jumeirah group launches mobile check-in application in the UAE

Mobile Check in for Hotels
Jumeirah Group and Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism have released a unique digital check-in solution that is fully integrated and compliant with UAE government regulations. The solution is currently offered at Burj Al Arab Jumeirah, Jumeirah Beach Hotel, and Jumeirah Emirates Towers, making it the first of its kind in the UAE.

Jumeirah Group has partnered with the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET) to create Jumeirah Mobile Check-In. The technology allows guests to complete all check-in information on their phones before arrival. Industry-first biometric and digital technology solutions enable this. This process will reduce the check-in process by up to 10 minutes. So, it provides an innovative solution with a seamless arrival experience for guests.

WHAT JUMEIRAH MOBILE CHECK-IN PROVIDES

Jumeirah recently demonstrated the new technology at GITEX 2022. The technology allows Jumeirah guests to upload identification documents before their stay. They do so via the Jumeirah.com website or mobile app, within 48 hours. Guests can then take a selfie and upload it to complete the check-in process. After arriving at the hotel, guests receive either a digital or physical key. The technology uses guest identity to provide a personalised guest experience. Yet, this only occurs with prior guest approval. So, this service helps ensure privacy and security for all guests.

According to Thomas B. Meier, Jumeirah Group's COO, the company places its guests at the center of everything. The hospitality firm strives to enhance the guest experience through innovative solutions. These solutions include Jumeirah Mobile Check-In. The new contactless check-in solution is user-friendly. It also integrates with UAE government-approved security protocols. So guests have a secure experience during the check-in process. The new system also simplifies future reservations and payment processes. This further enhances the whole experience.

Shaikha Ebrahim AlMutawa, Director of the Hospitality Affairs Department at the DET, also expressed her perspective. She conveyed how the department commits itself to enhance Dubai's hospitality experience. The department is always exploring innovative ways to make travel seamless for visitors, as time is valuable for them. She also praised Jumeirah Group's new mobile check-in facility. This promises an unrivalled tourist experience and highlights Dubai as a must-visit destination.

CURRENT AVAILABILITY & EXPANSION OF JUMEIRAH'S MOBILE CHECK-IN

Currently, Mobile check-In is available at a selection of Jumeirah Group's locations. These include Burj Al Arab Jumeirah, Jumeirah Beach Hotel, and Jumeirah Emirates Towers. Jumeirah Group plans to expand the service to several of its 13 hotels and resorts in the United Arab Emirates this year.
