KSA’s Roshn unveils Alfulwa: a sustainable 18,000-home project

Article-KSA’s Roshn unveils Alfulwa: a sustainable 18,000-home project

Saudi PIF-owned Roshn is launching Alfulwa, a sustainable community with breathtaking mountainous views in the Kingdom’s Eastern Province.

The Saudi community developer Roshn, owned by the Saudi PIF, has unveiled Alfulwa. Alfulwa is a new residential community in the Kingdom's Eastern Province. The community will occupy 10.8 million square metres in Al Ahsa Oasis. It will also include more than 18,000 residential units, housing up to 100,000 people.

SCENIC SETTING SURROUNDING ALFULWA

Alfulwa will stand near Dakhna Mountain and Al Qarah Mountain. These exemplify the region’s distinctive geological and cultural characteristics. The project is also 7 kilometres from the main urban core of Al Hofuf city. So Alfulwa offers a combination of urban conveniences and attractive mountainous settings.

ALFULWA’S HIGH STANDARDS AND SUSTAINABLE DESIGN

The Roshn Group's primary design DNA focuses on building high-quality homes. They are then linked to many integrated utilities and public areas. When combined, these create thriving communities. This strategy helps develop a strong community and a great standard of living.

According to Group CEO David Grover, the new residential community in Al Hofuf city illustrates Roshn's dedication to improving the urban environment throughout the kingdom. Roshn wants to provide natural and sustainable communities with access to modern amenities. The company’s goal for this is to promote sustainable housing.  Yet it also helps make sustainable and green housing accessible to as much of society as possible.

The Alfulwa project is the fourth community launched by Roshn. This new project follows Sedra and Warefah. Both projects were successfully introduced in Riyadh and Jeddah, respectively. Alfulwa includes unique architectural elements seen in buildings across the Kingdom's Eastern Province. In doing so, the project features well-sculpted features and horizontal grooves. As a result, the project is a perfect illustration of traditional architecture.

A SUSTAINABLE AND ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY DEVELOPMENT

Due to Alfulwa's sustainable approach, the cost of energy usage is 18% less than it otherwise would be. This design and construction strategy tries to lessen the development's negative environmental effects. Nonetheless, it also contributes to giving people a cosy and energy-efficient living environment.

Roshn strives to achieve the goals outlined in Saudi Vision 2030. The Alfulwa project emphasises raising the standard of living and developing dynamic communities. So, with its conscious approach, Roshn is helping develop sustainable housing and modern communities in Saudi Arabia.
