Elie Saab's has unveiled its first residencies in Qatar to be located on Qetaifan Island North, an artificial island designed by Qetaifan and located in Lusail City, Qatar. The luxury fashion brand is therefore seeking to expand its hospitality and real estate presence on a global scale. The brand currently has residencies in London’s Hyde Park called Elie Saab Residences.
QETAIFAN ISLAND NORTH
Qetaifan Island North, a triangular 1.3-square-kilometre site north of the Lusail city shoreline, is home to beach clubs, hotels, apartments, a school, and a medical facility. But this island also accommodates a mosque and a water park with several rides and attractions influenced by Qatari culture and the local economy. They include The Icon Tower area, which has an 85-meter-high waterslide, situated on a tiny island overlooking the neighbourhood.
The linear park, an artificial salt canal connected to the sea where one may engage in sports like fishing and boating as well as many other activities, is at the core of the island. It is lined with shops and restaurants. The initiative is being coordinated by Qetaifan Initiatives; a real estate development firm founded in 2017. It is one of several sustainable smart city projects that are part of Qatar's long-term economic vision.

Additionally, Dar Al Arkan Properties, developed the Les Vagues apartments by Elie Saab on Qetaifan Island North.
