President and founder of the Arab Women Investors Union (AWIU), Dr Hoda Galal Yassa is an ambassador for Arab-African female investment and fostering international cooperation. AWIU has grown to become one of the most influential groups in the MENA region for female investors. Based in Egypt, Dr Yassa is a big proponent of economic and social development and has been president of AWIU since 2005 where she encourages future investment, trade, tourism promotion and economic development and sustainability.


Perhaps one of the most influential real estate experts in Bahrain, author Eman Almannai holds the title of being the first Bahraini to obtain a certificate in international real estate. Eman has led real estate projects through the Kingdom of Bahrain, including 10 freehold projects, 17 towers and more than 6000 apartments. With almost two decades of

experience under her belt, Eman is also the author of Real Estate and Life in 60 Days, where she educates people on the real estate sector. A big advocate of empowering Bahraini women to enter leadership positions, Eman has also led training courses for real estate education in the country.


Assistant Director General and Head of Investment Management and Promotion Centre at the Dubai Land Department (DLD), HE Majida Ali Rashid, has dedicated her professional life to developing Dubai’s real estate and investment sector and empowering women in the property sector. Her work in promoting Dubai as a transparent investment hub has been tantamount to the emirate’s success story. Her Excellency will be delivering the keynote address at this year’s CityscapeWIRE launch event taking place at the Palazzo Versace Dubai on May 11th.


Barbara Corcoran’s story of quitting her waitressing job at 23 and borrowing USD 1000 to start her real estate company, the Corcoran Group in New York, has become an inspiration to many. Today, the brokerage is one of the most successful and influential real estate businesses in North America. The self-made real estate millionaire is an author, TV personality, motivational speaker and a host of an investment and business podcast where she dispenses advice.


Dottie Herman is a household name in the real estate world and one of America’s richest self-made women, according to Forbes. CEO of one of the most well-known brokerage firms in the world, Douglas Elliman Real Estate, Dottie has successfully ensured that the company has over USD 27 billion in annual sales and more than 7000 agents. The entrepreneur also works with the UN and supports a range philanthropic initiatives globally.
