Qatar’s largest hotel complex opens its doors to the public - Le Meridien City Center Doha
Le Meridien City Center opens just in time for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar. The hotel's feature-rich environment provides a stunning experience.

Le Meridien City Center Doha has been unveiled by Al Rayyan Tourism Investment Company (Artic)and Le Meridien Hotels and Resorts. The former is a top international hotel investment firm and the latter is a Marriott Bonvoy brand.

The 43-story hotel is well situated in Doha’s contemporary West Bay neighbourhood amid its business and leisure districts. Equally, the hotel features 353 guest rooms, including 97 residential apartments, and 48 suites, all with floor-to-ceiling windows providing unobstructed sea and city views.

The City Center Mall is also located right next to the hotel. This is one of Qatar’s busiest malls featuring hundreds of international retailers and a 14-screen cinema.

Each guest room within the hotel is crafted with comfort and convenience in mind. Calming neutral colours, roomy bathrooms, huge bathtubs, work areas, and LCD TVs are available in every room. So, Le Meridien City Center offers a high-end and comforting experience across all its available rooms.

Larger parties, families, and visitors planning extended visits will also be drawn to the roomy apartments within the hotel. These apartments come with fully equipped kitchens (amongst many other conveniences), with a dishwasher, washing machine, hair dryer, and refrigerator.

The opening of the second Le Meridien hotel in Qatar will strengthen Marriott Bonvoy's footprint in the highly sought-after location. It also demonstrates Marriott’s dedication to the nation's expanding hospitality and tourist industries. But it equally adds to the expansion of Marriott Bonvoy’s presence throughout the Middle East.

Le Meridien City Center features six restaurants and bars. Various leisure facilities are also available such as a fully equipped gym with 24-hour access, temperature-regulated indoor and outdoor pools, and a spa. These along with steam rooms, saunas, and Jacuzzis make up the 1,600 square meters of entertainment and leisure space. This space will ultimately offer a relaxing and feature-rich experience.

As part of the Le Meridien family program, the Le Meridien Family Kids Club also has a separate check-in area. This allows kids to engage in activities like vibrant games and cookery courses with their Le Méridien passport.

Also, Eight adaptable meeting rooms and the Les Champ Elysees ballroom, which has a capacity of 420 people are available. These are among the 900 square meters of flexible space available for events and meetings.

The location of the hotel is excellent for seeing Doha’s historical and cultural landmarks, attractions, and shopping centers. Doha Corniche, Qatar National Museum, Souq Waqif, and the Islamic Art Museum are all nearby. A variety of shopping centers, Doha Metro Stations, and the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC) are in equally close vicinity.

The new Le Meridien hotel has opened at a perfect time, with the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar starting in late November. This is a period when there will be a significant demand for lodging and hospitality services in Qatar. The month-long competition in Qatar, which starts at the end of November, is expected to draw in 1.2 million football fans from all around the world.
